I finally have updated!!!!

I know what most are thinking. What on earth took so long? Well life and skiing, parties, and just taking care of kiddos. We have taken 2 mini ski trips in the past couple of months. Here is a couple of pictures from our trips. Here is a great picture of the boys in the mountains. We took this one on the last day of our trip. We were out looking for sledding hills. Here is Logan during his first snowboarding lesson. He is really picking up the skills quite well, won't be long and he and his brother will be shredding the mountain together. I will post a picture of John Ryan on my next post. I promise it won't be it 2 months. We are going out this weekend for a day trip and I will have more pictures of the boys to post. Oh and I now am enjoying skiing again!! It's more enjoyable when your skies and boots fit right!!

OUR FIRST SNOW!!!!!

Yes we have now had our first snow here in Denver. It is so cool!!! The boys were so excited but the bummer part is here in Colorado the kids still go to school!! So I had to drive John-Ryan in while it was snowing...Not good. Let just say after that I started to call around for a ride for Logan and almost did not take him to school!!! But my neighbor down the street calm me down and told me to just put him on the bus. (That seems to be the norm around here.) So I did and he was so excited to be riding the bus in the snow. Kids!

Happy Birthday to John Ryan

Yesterday was the day, his 13th birthday and it is official we have a teenager in our house. Can you say more insurance? LOL Our hopes are that he will continue to be a good kid like his first 13 years. Although he has pulled one teenager thing already, as you may have seen in the pictures.

Just kidding, sort of, the Mohawk is real, but it was not a show of rebellion. His team made the Carnation Bowl, yeah Mustangs, and this is team tradition. Every year that they have made the bowl the team has done the Mohawk thing!!! Joy and rapture cause silly me forgot about Christmas pictures. AAAUUUGGGG!!!!!!! Oh well life with a successful football playing 13 year old.

Okay so back to the birthday for John Ryan. So as tradition in our home we asked John Ryan what he would like to have for dinner and to our delight he said Sushi. So his birthday dinner was various sushi rolls and a triple chocolate chunk birthday cookie. Yummy and oh the calories!!!! But all in all he said he had a good birthday and it would have been perfect if he could of played Xbox instead of having football practice. Oh the trail and tribulations of being 13.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Here we are on Halloween. The boys this year have dressed up as 1970's disco dude and a skeleton grim reaper. Can you guess which one is which? It's so funny John Ryan will be 13 soon and he still likes to Trick or Treat. I think it has more to do with the candy than the actual door to door stuff.
We enjoyed our trick or treating with some friends who also were relocated here from Texas. Their children are a few years younger than my two, but Logan enjoyed being the older one and he took the lead.(John Ryan was still at football practice when we took the pictures.) As you can see in the picture Jake (little guy in the white costume) is quite taken with Logan in his makeup and costume. He watched the whole time I was putting the makeup on Logan and told me next year that he wants me to do his makeup. So all in all it was quite a night and no one had a melt down!!!! Hope you all had happy hautings as well.

FOOTBALL PHOTO

Here are my two handsome football players. They look ready for the NFL. Are there any scouts out there?

We just returned from North Carolina and while we were there my family had a early birthday party for John Ryan.

It was so much fun and you can see that John Ryan was thrilled to celebrate his almost 13th birthday!! ( uuhhgg teenager!!!!)

Well it is football season and both boys are playing. (yes even Logan # 90 in picture) We are so proud both boys teams have made it to the playoffs and we are heading for the Carnation Bowl. (This leagues version of the Super Bowl)
